Macarena Gavric Berrios

General Health Psychologist

Macarena Gavric Berrios holds a Master’s degree in General Health Psychology (Spain), as well as a degree in Psychology and a University Professor in Psychology title, from Austral University (Argentina). 

She also holds a Master’s degree in Psychological Intervention with Children and Adolescents from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, and has completed specializations in personality disorders, eating behaviour disorders, and emotional disorders. 

She works in the field of individual, group, and family psychotherapeutic interventions with children, adolescents, and young people, and also conducts psychological assessments, including psychodiagnostics and projective tests. 

Throughout her professional career, she has trained in and applied various types of therapy, including animal-assisted therapies (such as equine therapy), as well as art therapy, bibliotherapy and play therapy, within cognitive-behavioural, psychodynamic, and systemic-emotional approaches. She is currently working for the Ministry of Health and the Community of Madrid as a psychologist at Hospital Infantil Niño Jesús, where she is developing a prevention program for eating disorders and suicide among children and adolescents. 

At present, she is continuing her training at the Complutense University of Madrid, where she is pursuing a Master’s degree in psycho-oncology, palliative care and grief support.
